They played a fully unedited Natural Born Killers in its entirety the other night here on UK basic, non-cable TV. It was about 10pm on a Saturday.

Vigo, Spain |

I went to Vigo Monday for the annual CONXEMAR seafood show. I've been there 3-4 times. It was pouring rain, my sinuses were fucked, but overall it was pretty good. I was meeting with customers, etc...and should secure some biz from it.

Does anyone give a shit about all this financial drama? Does it affect anyone? The only thing I'm thinking is I contribute like 70 pounds/mo towards a pension...am I just throwing that cash down the drain?? Maybe I should just put it in a savings account (preferably not in Iceland). And speaking of Iceland - the company that bought the company that I work for (Samskip) is Icelandic. They lost 2mil Euros last year (wankers), so I might get my wish of not working in the Rat Race sooner than later...

Chess Season 2008-09 |

So, first chess match of the season. Away at Southend (they play on a Friday so away matches are a real bugger). I'm 20 mins late, roll in, make 7 moves, blunder my queen, resign and walk out.
That fuckin' sucked.

Ozo Matli, Jazz Cafe |

A Gig Review
I saw Ozo Matli at the Jazz Cafe in London Saturday June 26th. It was the 3rd night of their 3-night stay. I'd seen them once at the showbox probably 6-8 yrs ago when the did a conga line with drums through the crowd to get to the stage.
This time the venue wasn't quite as accommodating, but they still started strong with "2 cosas". They're rocking hard with a sax/oboe player, trumpeter/singer, guitarist/various strings player, bassist/singer, drummer, percussionist and two rappers.
I found out later one of them was What's-His-Name from the Pharcyde. I figured this out when they busted out their classic "Passing Me By" towards the end of the set. They also briefly segway'd into Ozzy's "Crazy Train" during a jam (fuck yeah!).
At the end they carried all drums to the middle of the crowd and wrapped things up from there. It was dope, with some of the audience (like me) busting some salsa and merengue dance moves.
I brought this girl who I'm macking on, but sadly, didn't get my end away (this time).

I just got tickets to see them at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London on Tuesday!! Never seen 'em before and this venue is pretty small so should be wicked.
